A Step Towards More Sustainable Shopping

From June 2026, Pamela Scott will introduce a small charge on carrier bags in all stores.

All bags will be priced at 15c

This change forms part of our ongoing commitment to reducing our environmental impact and promoting more sustainable shopping choices. By introducing this charge, we aim to encourage the reuse of shopping bags and help reduce dependence on single-use paper bags. While paper bags can be recycled, their production and transportation still place a demand on natural resources, making reuse a more sustainable option.

       

This initiative supports global efforts to reduce single-use packaging and helps to build greater environmental awareness among our customers

We kindly encourage shoppers to bring their own reusable bags when visiting any of our 27 stores nationwide. Small changes can make a meaningful difference, and we appreciate our customers’ understanding and support as we continue to take positive steps toward a more sustainable future.

Here at Pamela Scott we are always working hard to make more responsible choices when designing and sourcing our collections. 

This includes items made from recycled polyester, Ecovero Viscose, organic cotton & circular denim.

Our goal for 2026 is to become completely transparent with our supply chain, use more sustainable fabrics and completely cut out single use plastics.

In 2021, we introduced a 100% biodegradable bag for our online orders.

In 2022, we have invested in low energy efficiency improvements such as replacing all of our lighting in our 27 stores, office and warehouse facilities to low energy LED Lighting. 

So how can you be sure that you are buying a Fairtrade product?

To wear fashion with a good feeling, there are various quality seals and certificates that guarantee a transparent supply chain and require high social standards such as GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard). Also look out for fabrics such as Organic Cotton, Ecovero Viscose, Lyocel, Tencel, Recycled Polyester.
