Ethics & Sustainability

Here at Pamela Scott, we are always working hard to make more responsible choices when designing and sourcing our collections.

This includes items made from recycled polyester, Ecovero Viscose, organic cotton & circular denim.

Our goal for 2022 is to become completely transparent with our supply chain, use more sustainable fabrics and completely cut out single use plastics.

In 2021, we introduced a 100% biodegradable bag for our online orders.

In 2022, we have invested in low energy efficiency improvements such as replacing all of our lighting in our 22 stores, office and warehouse facilities to low energy LED Lighting.

So how can you be sure that you are buying a Fairtrade product?

To wear fashion with a good feeling, there are various quality seals and certificates that guarantee a transparent supply chain and require high social standards such as GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard). Also look out for fabrics such as Organic Cotton, Ecovero Viscose, Lyocel, Tencel, Recycled Polyester.

Some of the sustainable brands we carry:

‘ARMEDANGELS is not just another fashion brand. For us, sustainability is not a trend, it is our attitude.

Timeless design instead of fast fashion, sustainable & regenerative materials instead of cheap mass-produced goods and fair production instead of wage slavery. We want to make a real difference for the future.’

Liverpool Los Angeles: "I think it is important not only as a clothing designer but as a global citizen, that we pay attention to the impact we make on the world. Our Eco Collection continues our efforts in producing low impact denim styles that have the perfect "Liverpool look” while causing very little effect on the planet. It’s your chance to ‘wear the world better’.”

- Jill Perilman, Design Director

Their goals:

  • Making all our denim sustainable by 2022 and all our products sustainable by 2030
  • All factories to be compliant by 2022 and eco-friendly in operation by 2030
  • Reduce our GHG (Greenhouse Gas) Emissions by 30% by 2030

GERRY WEBER has been GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified since 2017. This world-leading standard guarantees the use of textiles from (at least 70%) organically produced natural fibres.

OPUS: Our actions influence the environment and nature. That is why we are mindful and conscious of our resources. It is our aspiration to always assume ecological and social responsibility in the production of our collections. Together we want to make a difference. Step by step. For a better future, for a conscious use of our resources.
