Monochrome Magic

I recently attended a beautiful summer wedding in the idyllic village of Spanish Point in the parish of Miltown Malbay, County Clare.

Styling outfits for summer weddings is always a fun affair, and I think feeling comfortable is just as important as looking glamorous.

They are always days full of romance, teary moments and of course a lot of delicious food and drink and this was no exception.

For this special occasion I picked up a timeless 1950s style dress from Pamela Scott. It’s monochrome, featuring a cherry-coloured satin bow at the front, and that’s the detail that I feel makes it a real head-turner of an outfit! I’m definitely guilty of overindulging in monochrome, but by adding this dash of sweet cherry it make the dress pop in such a unique and chic understated way.

The white flowers are stitched on separately and this really adds to the feeling of quality and glamour, as do the net petticoat layers that give you a real bounce in your step.

It’s a beautifully tailored dress, true to size and fitted me very comfortably, right through the day and dancing long into the night.

It costs €120.00 and is perfect to wear as a wedding guest or attending communions, confirmations and christenings.

Pamela Scott offer a wide range of dresses perfect for occasion and evening wear in-store and online at pamelascott.com
